FROM INCARCERATION TO INSPIRATION—SPEAKER, ADVOCATE & FOUNDER OF FAITH BEYOND INCARCERATION
Albert's Mission
"My mission is to break the cycle of incarceration by restoring faith, reconnecting families, and empowering people to rebuild their lives with purpose, dignity, and direction."
Albert J. Yancey III was just 17 years old when a single moment changed the course of his life. Convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, he would spend the next 27 years, 5 months, and 1 day inside the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
But that prison cell became the birthplace of something far greater.
In the midst of grief, regret, and isolation, Albert encountered the transformative love of Jesus Christ. That moment of surrender marked the beginning of a lifelong journey toward healing, growth, and purpose. He earned multiple college degrees, became a mentor to hundreds of incarcerated men, led Toastmasters clubs, and rose to become a spiritual leader behind the walls.
What he witnessed during those years shaped his mission: the cycle of incarceration wasn’t just a legal issue—it was a spiritual and generational one. Behavior modification wasn’t enough. People needed true transformation.
Upon his release in 2019, Albert launched Faith Beyond Incarceration (FBI) Ministry—a nonprofit built to help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals experience lasting change. Through worship services, mentorship, family restoration programs, and reentry support, Albert now walks alongside others on the road from prison to purpose.
He has since spoken at churches, schools, juvenile facilities, conferences, and even the Texas State Capitol—amplifying the message that redemption is possible, families can heal, and no one is too far gone for grace.
Albert J. Yancey III brings lived experience, spiritual depth, and unfiltered truth to every stage he steps on. His talks are rooted in redemption and designed to restore hope, challenge systems, and equip communities. Whether he's speaking to youth, churches, or justice leaders, Albert delivers more than inspiration—he delivers insight, strategy, and a path forward.
